Concrete driveways, slabs, and stamped concrete
Tear out the cracked driveway and pour it right: compacted base, reinforced, properly jointed, finished clean.
Driveway tear-out and re-pour
South Louisiana soil moves, and a driveway poured on uncompacted fill with no reinforcement cracks and heaves within a few years. Our driveway replacements start with full removal and haul-off of the old concrete, then a compacted limestone base, wire mesh or rebar, 4,000 psi concrete at a true four inches (five or six where trucks park), control joints cut at the right spacing, and a broom or trowel finish. Recent driveway replacements include homes in Mandeville and Metairie and a church in Metairie.
Slabs
Shop and garage slabs, shed pads, patio slabs, and foundation slabs for additions. We form, grade, reinforce, and pour to the engineer's specification and the parish inspector's standard.
Walkways, patios, and aprons
Front walks, side walks, pool decks, and carport aprons, poured to drain away from the house and tied into the existing concrete with doweled joints where it matters.
Stamped and decorative concrete
Stamped patterns and integral color for patios, porches, and pool surrounds. We have completed stamped concrete work in Raceland and can show you pattern and color samples before you commit.
How we price concrete
Concrete is priced by the square foot and the thickness, with tear-out, haul-off, and base priced separately so you can see the whole number. We can often quote a driveway from satellite measurements and a quick phone call, then confirm on site.
Concrete questions
How much does a concrete driveway cost in Houma?
It depends on the square footage, the thickness, and how much old concrete has to be removed and hauled off. Tear-out, base, reinforcement, and the pour are each listed separately in our estimate so you can see the whole number before you commit. We can often quote from satellite measurements and confirm on site.
Do you remove the old driveway?
Yes. Tear-out, haul-off, and disposal of the old concrete are included in every replacement quote.
How thick should a driveway be?
Four inches of 4,000 psi concrete over a compacted base is standard for cars. We recommend five or six inches where trucks, boats, or RVs will park.
Do you do stamped concrete?
Yes. We install stamped and colored concrete for patios, porches, and pool decks and can show you pattern and color samples.
How soon can I drive on new concrete?
Walk on it after 24 to 48 hours, park a car after seven days, and keep heavy trucks off for 28 days while it reaches full strength.
