How much does it cost to build a house in Houma?
It depends on the size of the house, the foundation type (slab versus elevated timber pilings), and the finishes. Builder-grade on a slab is the most affordable; elevated and custom homes cost more. We give every client a detailed line-item estimate before they commit, so the number is specific to your plans and lot.
Are you licensed in Louisiana?
Yes. Charles Grey Construction LLC holds Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors Commercial/Building Construction License CL.75458 and Residential Contractor License 890644, and carries $1M per occurrence / $2M aggregate general liability insurance and workers' compensation.
Do you work with insurance claims?
Yes. We handle wind, hurricane, and water damage claims, including Louisiana Citizens policies. We meet your adjuster, write a line-item scope, bill the approved amount, and submit supplements for anything missed.

Do you do fixed-price or cost-plus contracts?
Both. Most new homes, roofs, and concrete jobs are fixed price. For renovations of older homes with hidden conditions we offer cost-plus with a fixed contractor fee and an open book of every invoice.
